Pick My Brain

I love this question.

For years I offered this - "Pick My Brain"

Free education, coaching, and consulting

What happened was this:

It drained my energy

And most of all those people, unfortunetlyt, did not get the results they wanted

Of coruse, there were a few rare exceptions

However for the most part, those calls were not enjoyable

90% of those free coaching calls wound up me not serving at the level I know I can

Why?

Because there's free inforamtion at the library and many places online

I am not paid for my time

I am paid for the amount of time, decades, to be able to confidently know I can help many people

There's a quote that was circulating online before. It sumimises this well:

"If I do a job in 30 minutes it’s because I spent 10 years learning how to do that in 30 minutes. The value I delivered is for the years, not the mintues"

When you take your car in for service - do you prefer to take it to the mechanic who just graduated

from Automotive Mechanic Trade School or who has been in business for years and has likely seen and heard your issue before?

I don't charge unfairly because I know everyhone's situation is different.

There are different options personalized for you

One of my favorite doctors once told me something like this:

"Joel, I can see you're struggling. xyz referried you to me because he knows I can help. He has helped you and he is my mentor as well

I think I can too, and since you asked, the speed I can help at depends on how fast you want to go and how much you want to spend"

So I was given 3 options

It was 100% worth it

This may sound shocking but I don't serve and offer support for money

Money is simply an exchange of value

Money was never my driving factor - just ask my colleagues when I was a Field Application Engineer. What satisfied me was seeing them win. My managers, colleagues and our clients. Seeing a job well done is my satisfaction

I serve because I feel called to considering the amount of suffering I've been through, and considering how much I see others struggling with things I have figured out

And if I can help someone avoid pitfalls and achieve their goals faster - that's what drives me

The opportunity to maybe contribute - in some way - to the succes of others

I take little credit because it was them who did all the work, I just somply offered considerations and guidance based on my experience, research, mentorship and precision transformational coaching

As for the free options I use to offer

1) Most people didn't follow through - and this was not satisfying. For me and them. And

2) That meant our time together was a waste of their time

I like to give value to others so if you'd like to pick my brain please let me know what value you can give to me as I'm comitted to win-win-win relationships.

100% present to your needs, and wether we work together or not - you will walk away with valuable things because delivering value is my goal
